I vowed long ago never to include anything food related in my LifeTweaks blog posts. I realize that recipes are the simplest of life tweaks, but the kitchen is my least favorite place to be.
Since I’m coming off a 10-day sickfest and have the brain capacity of a gnat, welcome to the world’s shortest post. Here’s a great little hide-the-taste-of-broccoli sauce for anyone who shares my aversion but tries to eat it anyway because they know how good it is for them. Health rules!
Steam broccoli 2 minutes. Meanwhile make sauce:
2 tsp. of soy sauce
1 tsp. balsamic vinegar
1 tsp. toasted sesame oil.
1/4 tsp. of brown sugar (I omit sugar)
Mix together, drizzle over hot broccoli, and sprinkle
with chopped peanuts. I seldom have peanuts around,
but cashews are great substitute.
Had it last night and got compliments. Enjoy.
